Traditional and dry needling approach.

Acupuncture is a proven method of pain relief for musculo-skeletal problems and is recognised to promote good health. Acupuncture involves the insertion of sterile fine needles at chosen points including trigger points. Additional recognised pain-reliving points may also be used. The team use Acupuncture as clinically indicated to complement a physiotherapy treatment plan. All of our Physiotherapists have completed extensive Acupuncture training and their practice is monitored through the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound Therapy

Used to stimulate healing and gain pain relief from soft tissue injuries including tendon/ligament sprains.

Ultrasound therapy consists of ultrasonic waves applied to the body to help stimulate blood flow to the injured area. This process aids removal of inflammatory toxins, improves nutritional circulation in the area and assists healing.

Deep tissue massage

A method of releasing tension and breaking down muscular adhesion's brought on by physical activity or poor posture.

Deep tissue massage can be used effectively alongside Physiotherapy to compliment the overall treatment outcome. Massage can be key to preventing muscle imbalance and injury. Massage is especially beneficial to those individuals who spend a lot of time driving or sat at a desk and suffer from neck, shoulder or back pain as a result. Massage can be useful post exercise/training to flush away waste products through the promotion of blood and lymphatic flow. Depth and grade of massage will be tailored to the individual's problem.

Therapeutic yoga

Therapeutic yoga

One-one-one therapeutic yoga

This approach to yoga is great for those who wish to use yoga to aid in recovery from injury, compliment their current exercise routine or help with stress, tension and anxiety.

Each session is tailored specifically to your own needs and requirements with the opportunity to not just learn how to do the yoga postures but also why and how they work. This therapeutic approach to movement involves simple yoga postures to gently stretch and strengthen muscles, improving mobility, flexibility, respiration, circulation, digestion and elimination. These consist of both simple movements and held postures, which promote a general sense of health and well-being.

Improve balance, flexibility, circulation, posture and help you to relax

Pilates is a mind-body conditioning programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall core stability and posture.

Pilates has been shown to be very effective in the prevention and rehabilitation of back injuries. We offer one-to-one Pilates training as part of our physiotherapy treatment programme as required. All of our Physiotherapists are qualified instructors and have completed extensive training through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).

Revitalise your senses and refresh your mind!

A form of complementary therapy involving massage to reflex areas found on the soles, sides and tops of the feet and the hands.

These reflex areas are believed to correspond to all the parts of the body forming a map on the feet; the right foot corresponding to the right side of the body and the left foot corresponding to the left. Reflexology can help to relieve anxiety and tension, encourage relaxation, improve mood and aid sleep. Some people use it, however, to help them cope with more specific health challenges.
